When I first started performing again in 2007 after a 15 year break,
I was uncertain how the music I grew up with and loved to play would
be received by the “accordion world.”
In music, as in life, timing is
everything. It appears that the timing is right for a child of the
60’s - in his 60’s - playing 60’s music. The stars have aligned and
poco a poco, accordion lovers and players, young and old, are
appreciating classic rock ‘n roll music more and more, especially
when it’s being played on their favorite instrument.
As a long time fan of electronic accordions – playing Sano-Vox &
Bell DuoVox from 1974-1992 – I am extremely grateful for the
advances in “digital” and “midi” accordions.
These exciting sampled sounds add additional authenticity to
